Cees Buys was born in 1958 and raised in Scheveningen (seaside village near The Hague) where he went to Hotelschool there for a advanced businesseducation. After finishing the hotelschool he got his Bachelor-degree.

After finishing his military serviceduty as reserveofficer, he started his career in the Amsterdam hotelindustry. After several years in Okura-hotel and Novotel, he stepped over to KLM where he started at first with the KLM commuter subsidiary NLM CityHopper. After bringing several successes there he was asked to move on to the KLM-organization to join the inflight services there as Cateringcontractmanager for the Middle-Ease, Asia and Australia. He became responsible for the inflight-uplift of all KLM aircraft in this area. When the first Gulfwar started he left KLM and after having worked as director in one of the Schiphol companies, he started his own company (ICC b.v.) in 1994. Up till now he served over 40 larger Dutch companies and developed and implemented several businessconcepts succesfully.

In 2011 he decided to change the course in his career and at present he only works in companies where he can be part of the success that he creates. Among others, he helps young entrepreneurs to start up their own business in the Netherlands.
